Shopping in Augusta

Experience true southern charm in Augusta – Georgia's second oldest and largest city. Augusta's downtown area is alive with music, art galleries, shops, countless culinary pleasures, a beautiful Riverwalk and year 'round events. Augusta offers something for everyone!

Begin your shopping quest at the Augusta Visitor Information Center, or browse the gift shops at local museums. Then venture on to Broad Street and discover an eclectic community of antique and collectibles stores. Shop in locally-owned boutiques and stores along Broad Street, in the historic Summerville neighborhood and in Surrey Center. Find a variety of nationally-known stores and shops at the sprawling Augusta Mall, or take the short drive to Aiken for even more interesting boutiques and shops.

Surrey Center

At Surrey Center, you will find three levels of shopping, dining, dancing ... and just about anything else in between. Often referred to as “the spot,” Surrey Center is Augusta’s premiere shopping, dining and entertainment location. Surrey Center is about a mile and a half from the main entrance to the Augusta National on Berckmans Road.

Augusta Mall

Located off Interstate 520,  Augusta Mall is the largest mall in Georgia outside of the Atlanta area. Augusta Mall is the only super-regional center for a 75-mile radius, making it a shopping destination for residents of a two-state, 21-county trade area. The mall is anchored by such well-known retailers as Dillard's, Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Augusta Exchange Shopping Center

Located at Interstate 20 and Interstate 520, the Augusta Exchange Shopping Center is home to such mainstays as Target, Hobby Lobby, Best Buy, Office Depot, David’s Bridal, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, Rack Room Shoes, HH Gregg, Twin Peaks, Romano's Macaroni Grill, and Chili's.

Washington Road

Off Interstate 20 is another easy high traffic count location for retail that currently includes: Stein Mart, 2nd & Charles, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Hooters, and Carrabba’s Italian Grill. This rapidly growing area includes Kroger, Fresh Market, Windsor Jewelers, Whole Foods, Texas Road House, T-Bonz, Home Goods, DSW and more. While you're in the neighborhood don't forget to stop at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts for a bite.  The historic Augusta National Golf Club is located at the corner of Washington Road and Berckman's Road as well.

Riverwatch Parkway at I-20

This relatively new development located at Georgia's gateway from South Carolina features CostCo, Cabela's outdoor and adventure retailer and will soon feature a large dine-in movie theatre complex!
